After-School Volleyball

Looking for a different sport that builds teamwork? After-school volleyball is the answer.

Volleyball combines skill, agility and working together, while improving hand-eye coordination and building muscle tone.

In our after-school volleyball sessions children not only learn to master the serve, the spike and the dig, but also tackle advanced game strategies, learning to read their opponents’ movements and to react quickly and effectively in play and under pressure.

After-school volleyball is a unique sport that teaches children to handle both success and failure within a team, and to enjoy themselves through a collaborative, non-competitive approach to sport while learning to manage and regulate their emotions.

What are the training and match times?

Training times are arranged directly with each school and adapted to families’ needs and to the school calendar. Training takes place at the school’s own facilities, after lessons. Depending on each school’s plans, matches or sports meets may also be scheduled.

Is previous experience needed to sign up for volleyball?

No previous experience is needed. The activity is open to all children who want to play volleyball, whether they already know it or want to discover a new and different sport. The monitor adapts the sessions to each pupil’s level and, when the group allows, subgroups are formed by age or level to support learning and motivation.

What is the monthly price of the activity?

We always work with fair, affordable prices for families. The monthly fee includes the weekly training sessions, open days for families and personal support from the monitor in charge. Ask your AFA or ask us directly for the exact price at your school.

Do pupils take part in competitions or only train?

As well as regular training, some schools choose to enter their teams in school leagues or local tournaments. In other cases friendly matches are arranged with other schools, which builds friendships, motivation and teamwork. The aim is to offer a rewarding, fun experience full of values through sport.
